My journey as a Musician/Producer/Engineer
Born out of the love of two musicians, my journey in music began from a very young age. My childhood years were lived in studios, band rehearsals and traveling around with my mother who was a gospel artist and musician. From a young age I fell in love with studios, musicians and the overall feeling that music would give me. I ran with that feeling as I grew up, starting bands, working in studios, recording friends, cultivating relationships with artists and real curiosity for sound and the emotion that music gave me. Aside from being in a band with my mom, my father produced albums for a while as well and music was a constant force in my life in every way, shape and form. It was only natural for me to pursue what I knew and loved. I spent 10yrs in New York City after leaving Tulsa, working in studios, playing in bands and honing in on my craft. It was extremely important in my growth as a musician and continued my passion for Production and music as a whole. The palette of music I listen to and enjoy is wide which allows me to stay active with what’s happening today, while also paying attention to what the past has brought us. My work with a variety of artists and styles is a testament to what i’ve listened to and observed and has allowed me to continually stay open to what the future of music can bring. Being RIAA Gold Certified as a Producer is a true gift and I’m forever thankful for that accomplishment in my work. I spent 10yrs as the Album Producer and touring drummer for the artist Shakey Graves where a lot of my musical dreams became a reality. Again I was able to focus in on my craft and work with yet another talented artist that would allow me to learn more about what I truly love to do which is work with artists, music and production. Below i’ve listed some of my work that i’ve done and am very proud of. There’s more to come so let’s get to work!
